Dr Samia earns a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Manchester, UK after having graduated from IDM-Mzumbe with an Advanced Diploma in Administration in 1986.

Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi serves at Itende JKT (National Service) in Tanzania, contributing to national development and discipline-building efforts.

Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi begins his public service career, instilling values of discipline, commitment, and honesty.

2000

Dr Samia joins the House of Representatives in Zanzibar, marking the beginning of her political career.

2003

Dr Nchimbi is elected the national chairperson of CCM’s youth wing (UVCCM) at age 32, focusing on ethical leadership and grassroots engagement.

Dr Nchimbi becomes Member of Parliament for Songea Constituency, advocating for a bottom-up development approach.

Dr Samia and Dr Nchimbi meet in Zanzibar when Dr Samia is serving as the Minister of Tourism, Trade, and Investment in the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar. In this role, she is instrumental in enhancing Zanzibar’s tourism and trade sectors, contributing to the region’s economic growth and sustainability.
Dr Samia is then appointed as Minister of Health, Gender, and Children in the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, and Dr Nchimbi is the District Commissioner for Bunda on the mainland.

Dr Nchimbi is appointed Deputy Minister of Defense and National Service, contributing to national security and youth development programs.

Dr Nchimbi attains a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), enhancing his leadership and management expertise

Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan is elected as a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly and is appointed as Minister of State for Union Affairs in the Vice President’s Office.

Dr Samia obtains a Master’s in Socio-Economic Policy from a joint program by the Open University of Tanzania and Southern Hampshire University, UK.
